Ingredients

  • Elbow macaroni: 1/3 cup

  • Water: 1/2 cup

  • Milk: 1/4 cup

  • Cheese: 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  • Take an extra-large mug (almost 20 ounces or 2.5 cups) and add a measured amount of water and macaroni in it. Place a plate under the mug and microwave it at full power to about 1 minute. In general, macaroni should not rise more than 1/3 or 1/2 of the mug. After 1 minute, take out the mug and stir with the help of a spoon to make sure that no macaroni has left stuck to the bottom of the mug.
  • Microwave your macaroni for 1 minute again. At this time water tends to overflow a little. But if too much water overflows then you have to add a little amount of water in the macaroni later on. After 2 minutes extra water should be gone but the moisture content of the macaroni should not be lost.
  • Continue to microwave and stir the macaroni at the intervals of 30 seconds. When you feel that your macaroni has gone dry add a little water in it. If the macaroni is moist but not watery then do not add water in it because water addition will increase the cooking time. After 30 seconds check if your macaroni is cooked properly and all water has evaporated, then stop cooking. Otherwise, you can microwave it for another 30 seconds.
  • Now quickly add cheese in it, stir well so that all the cheese melts completely and coats the macaroni evenly. Sprinkle spices (salt, hot sauce, or black pepper) if desired. Your healthy, creamy, and scrumptious easy mac and cheese mug recipe is ready, eat immediately.

Boiling the macaroni:
